Roles & Permissions
HaveAI lets you control in detail which features team members can access. Besides ready-made roles, you can create your own custom roles.
How Roles Work
Each team member is assigned a role. A role consists of a set of permissions. A member can only access areas covered by their role's permissions; other sections are hidden or disabled for them.
Custom Roles
If no role fits your needs exactly, you can create your own: give it a name and select the permissions to include. For example, you can define a "Support Agent" role that only answers messages.
Permission Categories
Permissions are grouped logically. Main categories:
| Alan | Tip | Aรงฤฑklama |
|---|---|---|
messages.* | Messages | View, reply, assign, archive, delete conversations. |
customers.* | Customers | View, edit, export, delete customers. |
ai.* | AI Training | View, train, test the assistant and AI settings. |
analytics.* | Analytics | View, generate and export reports. |
automations.* | Automation | View and manage automation rules. |
templates.* | Templates | View, use and manage templates. |
integrations.* | Integrations | View/manage channels and the widget. |
team.* | Team | View, invite, manage and remove members. |
settings.* | Settings | General settings, API keys and account configuration. |
The account owner has all permissions
The person who created the account (the owner) automatically has all permissions and this cannot be restricted. Every other member's access is determined by their role.
Design roles around jobs
Typical role examples: Support Agent (view messages + customers), Content Manager (AI training + templates), Admin (analytics + team + settings). Adapt to your actual workflow.
